Celebrating the Two Year Anniversary of Dawn’s Cafe
Two years ago, Dawn’s Cafe opened its doors.
And if we’re being honest… we had no idea what we were doing.
We had never owned a restaurant. We weren’t part of a franchise. We hadn’t taken cookie or culinary classes. We didn’t graduate from a pastry program. We didn’t take out business loans to cover overhead. We didn’t even have a fully developed menu.
What we did have was a calling.
God doesn’t always call the qualified. Sometimes, He qualifies the called.
And for two years now, we’ve watched Him do exactly that.

Not Luck. The Lord.
The growth of Dawn’s Cafe hasn’t been luck. It hasn’t been strategy alone. It hasn’t been polished perfection.
It has been obedience.
There have been late nights. Stressful moments. On-the-fly decisions. Figuring things out as we go. Learning while serving. Growing while building.
We haven’t been mentored by industry experts.
We’ve been mentored by Jesus.
And somehow, as we continue to grow personally and spiritually, the cafe keeps growing too.
Built on Passion, Not Credentials
We may not check the traditional boxes of restaurant ownership, but we are deeply passionate about:
Loving our staff well
Serving our community wholeheartedly
Creating a space filled with light
Being obedient to what God places in front of us
That heart is what built this place.
Two Years of Community
Today marks our two-year anniversary of being open, and our hearts are full.
We are beyond grateful for the friendships formed, the regular customers who feel like family, and the beautiful memories created inside these walls.
A special thank you to Michelle Carlson for blessing us with beautiful flowers today, and to the many friends and regulars who packed the cafe to celebrate with us. You remind us why we do this.
The Foundation Behind the Vision
We also want to acknowledge something important.
Dawn’s Cafe would not exist without the online wellness business that provides the time and financial freedom to pursue this calling. We never take lightly the blessing of residual income and the importance of building multiple streams of income.
God has used every piece of our story to build this one.
Looking Ahead
We don’t know exactly what the next two years will bring.
But we do know this:
We will continue to show up. We will continue to serve. We will continue to grow. We will continue to trust.
And above all, we will continue to give all the glory to God.
Thank You, Lord, for Your peace, Your provision, and Your presence in our wonderfully “funky” lives.
Here’s to the next chapter.
All glory to God.
